The removal of caps from bottles without bending or damaging them can be a tricky process. Here are a few solutions:

This POP (Perfect Opener Pal) bottle opener is now available from TBCP.  It is a very ordinary opener, but if used by "hiding the red part" under the skirt of the crowncap (as shown below), only leaves two small dents on the shoulders of the crown's surface (at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock).  It is a perfect gift for friends leaving on vacation or for collegues departing for business trips abroad, as they are very easy to use!

Just  $4 (USD) for 5 POP openers, sent via international surface mail.

Cap Collector is a periodic issued in the Netherlands by Victor van Gorkom (with the help of many fellow collectors), with the goals of spreading information about the hobby of crowncap collecting and bringing fellow collectors closer together.

The periodical is issued 5 times a year, and features many different aspects of collecting crowncaps:

You can even place your unknown crowns to determine the brand and country of origin, place an advertisement, ask any question concerning crowns, etc.

Everyone can join in, and everyone can send in his or her article, or maybe you just want to introduce yourself to other collectors. Everything is possible as long as it has to do with crowncaps.

For more information, contact Victor by pressing on the image below.

The CCSI (Crowncap Collectors Society International) is an organization whose focus "is on William Painter's crown closure type bottle cap as a major collectible field in its own right, a multi-faceted art form worthy of serious study and research to identify its many variations, manufacturers and users; and not just a contemporary or go-along-with item as part of some other collection. Membership includes a roster of all members to show addresses, telephone numbers, crown specialty, other collecting interests and general information. Periodic updates are published in the Crowncappers Exchange. Collectors are encouraged to contact fellow collectors of their acquaintance to help our organization grow".

Yearly membership is $10 US. For more information, contact:
